After logging in, select Catalog -> Manage Products.

In the upper, right corner, select Add Product.

1. Select the Attribute Type of Default.
2. Select the Product Type, and click next. Simple is the best option for an item without different sizes and colors. For items with different, see our Configurable Products.
3. Under General Tab:
   1. Set the name, description, short description.
   2. Create the SKU. This value must be unique from every other product. This is used by the system to differeniate between each product and will be sent in the Purchase Order.
   3. Set the Status to Enabled.
   4. Set the Visibility - Usually Catalog/Search is the best option
   5. Nowhere - Product is not viewed in it's category or in a search.
   6. Catalog - Product is only viewable in the catalog and is not included when a user searches
   7. Search - Product is only used during a search and is not viewable in the catalog
   8. Catalog/Search - Product is viewable in the catalogue, as well as indexed for searching
4. Under Price Tab
   1. Set the price.
   2. Call for price - If 'Call for Price' is selected, the item will not be eligible to be added to a customer's cart, but will show in the catalog, with 'Call For Price' substituted where the price would show, along with any other attributes. Any price set will be ignored.
5. Under Categories
   1. Check the categories you would like the product to show in. It may show in multiple categories
6. Select Save in the upper right hand corner
